Complete an inspection group

Record on-site results from an inspection template and create a traceable work order inspection record.

Overview

Administrators configure inspection groups and items. At an inspection node, enter and submit results. An SOP can also issue an inspection-group action.

The inspection object can be the work order or linked equipment. Configuration controls items, requirements, and actions.

Before you begin

IMPORTANT

  • Use the task owner's account with access to the work order and related objects.
  • The work order is at an inspection node or has a pending inspection action.
  • Verify whether you are inspecting the work order or equipment.
  • Prepare required values, photos, attachments, or signatures. Complete all mandatory items before submission.

Procedure

  1. In the App task list or process-node application, open the pending inspection.
  2. On the task card, select the data-entry action, such as Fill In.
  3. Enter the actual value for each inspection item.
  4. Review the method, example image, and numeric reference values.
  5. Add notes or note images when required.
  6. To continue later, select Save.
  7. When finished, select the primary action to submit the results.
  8. If the task card also has Complete, return to it and select Complete.
  9. Verify the updated inspection status in the work order details.

NOTE

Administrators can customize action labels. If both Submit and Complete appear, submit the results first.

Each process node corresponds to one inspection group. In an SOP, follow the object and owner shown on the action card.

Save, submit, and complete

  1. Save stores a draft without submitting final results.
  2. Submit Inspection Results saves final values and creates work order inspection records.
  3. Complete Task Node ends the inspection task after result submission.
  4. Labels and completion entries depend on process configuration.

Review results

  1. In App or web work order details, open the related Work Order Inspection Items.
  2. Find the records created by this inspection.
  3. Verify status, actual values, images, and attachments.

Expected result

  • Save retains editable draft content.
  • Submission creates records in Work Order Inspection Items.
  • Completion closes the current node and lets the work order continue.
  • The appropriate actual-value fields store text, numbers, media, attachments, and choices.

Troubleshooting

You cannot find the inspection task or entry

Confirm that the work order reached the inspection node or generated an SOP action. Ask an administrator to check the owner, template, and process.

Some items disappear or become required

Conditional rules use earlier results to control later items. Verify previous values or ask an administrator to review the rules.

A numeric value is outside the reference range

Recheck the method, measurement, and unit. If correct, add the required note or image.

You cannot submit or complete

Complete all mandatory items and conditional notes. If both actions appear, submit results before completing the task.

Saved results do not appear in inspection records

Save creates only a draft. Reopen the task and submit the inspection results.
