Configure general and historical dispatch settings
Overview
The old version of Dispatch Settings centrally provides options such as offline personnel filtering, map range, order pop-up window column, secondary confirmation and supplementary fields. Some configurations may only be displayed on existing tenants. Before use, you should confirm that the current page still exists and complete regression testing.
Before you begin
- Use the administrator account to enter Field Service > System Settings > Full Function Configuration > Work Order Assignment > Dispatch Order Settings.
- It has been clarified whether it needs to be applied to assigned engineers or assigned service group nodes.
- Prepare online, offline, location-based and location-free testing resources.
Procedure
1. Filter offline personnel
- Enable Offline personnel will not accept orders.
- Set the test engineer's working status to offline.
- Open the work order assignment and confirm that the person is not a candidate.
2. Configure the map
- Set the default search range for map dispatch.
- Set the valid time range of the personnel location.
- Configure the field source used by the service provider location.
- Use the work order with the location address to check the map results.
3. Configure assignment pop-up windows and supplementary fields
- Configure the dispatch order pop-up window display column for the assigned engineer or Assign Service Group node.
- If the dispatcher also needs to fill in information such as the door-to-door time, order notes, etc., enable secondary confirmation.
- Select the process layout and add the work order fields that need to be filled in or edited.
- Verify required fields and verification logic before saving.
4. Check historical planning time
The planned start service field_zpfwsj__c and planned end service field_assign_endtime__c in the old configuration once supported function default values: when the planned start was empty or earlier than the dispatch time, the system defaulted to the dispatch time plus 2 hours; when the planned end was empty or later than the planned start, the old document records used the planned start plus 1 hour by default. There are doubts about the "later than" in the original text and the conventional verification logic. This rule must be based on the actual measurement of the current tenant and should not be directly used as the default value for new implementations.
The old planning time was also used for the decommissioned service field node, which should not be restored by the new implementation.
5. Check the reassignment of any historical node
- Check whether the current tenant still displays "Allow any node reassignment".
- Only enable it when business needs it.
- Verify the buttons, fields and process task handlers in the unassigned, assigned, after order and customized nodes respectively.
Verify the result
- Offline personnel are removed from the candidates according to settings.
- The map search range, location validity time and service provider location source are valid.
- The dispatch pop-up window displays the configuration column, and the secondary confirmation requires filling in the specified fields.
- The historical time default value and arbitrary node reassignment are only enabled after the tenant has passed the verification.
Notes
- The history options in this article are not universal capabilities for all tenants.
- Old application nodes that have been replaced and service field processes that have been removed from the shelves will not be migrated.
- There are doubts in the original text about the default conditions in the old time, and product confirmation or actual testing is required.
